In this work performed at TU Vienna we launched pulses from a OPA system into Kagome photonic crystal fibre. A SEA-F-SPIDER setup was built for the characterisation of these single cycle duration pulses.
cross-section of a Kagome fibre.
Experimental setup with laser source, self-comrpession stage, and characterisation via SEA-F-SPIDER
The pulse launched into the Kagome fibre undergoes self-compression. The shortest pulses measured have durations of 4.5 fs. At this wavelength ~0.8 cycles of the electric field.
