Attosecond dynamics have mainly been studied using an attosecond pulse and a strong field IR pulse as pump-probe pair. For some experiments it is however desirable to have two weak-field pulses and also with a choice of photon energies. This is why we developed a dual colour attosecond pulse source.
Summary of the VUV-XUV dual colour attosecond pulse source. Two gas jets are driven by a 1.5 cycle laser pulse to generate HHG. Overview of the HHG and streaking setup (middle). Left: XUV streaking with VUV gas jet on and off. Right: VUV streaking with XUV jet on and off.
